Job Title: Menstrual Hygiene Co-Ordinator
Location: Various rural and urban locations in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana & Karnataka.
Implementing Agency: SECT
Supported By: CSR Fund
Program: Under guidelines of  National Health Mission (NHM) – Menstrual Hygiene Initiative

Salary: ₹16,000 - 23,000 per month
Benefits: Health Insurance, Travel Allowance
 


Job Description:


The Menstrual Hygiene Co-Ordinator will play a key role in implementing awareness and outreach programs on menstrual hygiene under the guidelines of National Health Mission. This position involves working closely with adolescent girls, women, schools, community groups, and health departments to promote menstrual hygiene management (MHM), break social taboos, and ensure access to proper sanitary products and information.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct awareness sessions on menstrual hygiene in schools, anganwadi centers, and community settings.
     
  • Distribute sanitary napkins and provide demonstrations on proper usage and disposal.
     
  • Engage with adolescent girls and women to understand local menstrual health challenges and provide appropriate guidance.
     
  • Collaborate with ASHAs, ANMs, and local health officials to ensure coordinated MHM efforts.
     
  • Organize community outreach campaigns, workshops, and health camps focused on MHM.
     
  • Maintain records of activities, beneficiaries reached, and feedback from the field.
     
  • Submit regular reports and updates to project coordinators.
     
  • Promote safe, hygienic, and environmentally responsible menstrual practices.
     

Eligibility Criteria:


  • Minimum qualification: 12th pass or equivalent (Graduates in social work, nursing, or public health preferred).
     
  • Strong communication skills in the local language and basic knowledge of English/Hindi.
     
  • Prior experience in community work or health programs will be an added advantage.
     
  • Willingness to travel within designated project areas.
     
  • Passionate about working on gender-sensitive and community health issues.
